Today I took my niece shopping. I am proud to say I grabbed my "before" size and my "hope-to-be-in-size" and, well, the first one was too big! I was going for a couple shorts and shirts, but the niece was driving me nuts so I settled on a really awesome dress and shoes to go with it. In a size medium. Yay.
Oh, and while at McDonald's, even though I had 3 kids in tow, I got hit on twice. I think it means I need a bigger wedding ring? I'll have to mention it to hubby.

I won, I won, I won...
(Sorry, it's the chant Connor uses when he's excited and doing his little hip shaking dance)
Anyway, I hopped on the scale this morning and it's 151.8. I know, I know, it's closer to 152 that 151, but still!!!!!
I told L that we'd go swimsuit shopping when I hit 150. She made the comment that the way I was going it'd be by this weekend. And she was right! I won, I won, I won...
I'm in a super good mood. I need to workout today still, but I've accomplished more already today than I would have 3 weeks ago. The energy is awesome.
OK... dear trainer, to answer your question - My favorite P90X workout is definately Kenpo X. It really keeps you moving and I love perfecting my form. The other night when Hubby was ticking me off, I really impressed his friends with a couple perfect jab/cross combinations. The worst is Yoga X. I can only get about an hour in before I just can't possibly do anymore.
Well, I've sat still long enough! It's time to BRING IT!

I promised pictures...

Before
After

Before
After
Before
After (My sunburn!!!)
If I can figure this out, it'll be the before, and then the after. If I can't figure this out, the darker ones are after. I know you really can't tell the difference, but I can! Oh, and in the back view after, that is my sunburn! And yes, it HURTS!!!

30 days in...
And I'm down 12.5 inches (technically 11.5 - I've gained half an inch on each arm) and 4 pounds. I took the first "after" pictures, but I think I'm going to take another set in a couple days.
People are starting to notice. A couple people on Hubby's softball team mentioned my how I'm looking better and it feels awesome.
Well, I'm off to bed!

Today was better...
... for the most part. Hubby and I got in our Cardio X. It's his first workout in a week, so we aren't going to rule our success on his "transformation". I like working out with him - it really pushes me to do more Airborn Heismans, or Jump Shots, or whatever we're on. I sluffed off on the diet - I broke down and had a grilled cheese even though I wasn't super hungry and didn't need to eat. The weather is kinda icky, but maybe I'll head out for a walk with Kobe or something.
Brutal Honesty again
It's been a tough week. I got super sunburned Sunday, so I opted out of Yoga in favor of a walk Monday. Tuesday I did my core synergetics, but Tuesday night we went to a Japanese grill and I kind of over did it there. It didn't help that I got not even an hour of sleep that night. My weight went up to 155 Wednesday morning. I was so exhausted yesterday, but I did manage to do my Kenpo and my diet was pretty good. 154.2 this morning. I'm off now to do whatever Tony has in store for me today! I hope things really pick up. I told myself no shopping until I hit 150 and Kohl's has a HUGE sale this weekend.

And it keeps dropping...
153.8 this morning. After my day of rest too!
This week is my last week of training block 1. This week I have Yoga X, Core synergenics, Kenpo X, X stretch, Cardio X, Yoga X and then rest. I can barely do yoga 1 day and this week it's 2 days! I'm getting better though. I did about 30 minutes extra with hubby this last week before he quit on me.
The sister in law might be coming over to work out with me today. I'm looking forward to it even though there's a 90 percent chance she won't come. Instead of starting her off with yoga, I think I'll do cardio with her.
More later hopefully!

Ta DA!!!
The amazing shrinking me is still underway. 154.2 this morning. (You can't see me, but I'm doing Connor's "I won, I won, I won" dance.) If I had a quarter for everytime I glance at my shrinking belly, I'd have enough to buy, well, a couple candy bars if I were still that kind of girl.
Anyway, the best thing happened yesterday. I went to put on favorite pair of pants (I call them my nice butt pants because they are super tight and you shouldn't look above the butt) and I didn't have to lay on the bed to button them and they just slid right on. I had to wear a belt because even standing up straight caused them to fall off a little ( A very little bit - but it's still uncomfortable).
I'm going to do my Kenpo X - hopefully I'll get some time tonight to write more.

Do your best and forget the rest!!!!
I did all of the yoga X today. O. M. G. I'm not very flexible and I'm building my strength up, but man, I think I did maybe 45 percent of the video. (It's over an hour and a half, but still) Some of the poses I just stared at the TV thinking, "You want me to do WHAT?! I don't think I can get my feet by my ears on purpose." But I muscled through and did my best.
I also took Kobe for a walk. It was only a mile - we had an incident and I was so mad I had to get home. We passed another dog. Kobe is usually dog aggressive, but I've been working with him and he's been doing awesome. Anyway, it was in a wide part of the trail, so I stopped off the trail to let them pass. Kobe did awesome until the other dog lunged at him. After that, somehow he managed to rip my headphone wires apart and I spent 5 minutes trying to get him into submission again. I don't blame him - it's partly my fault for not walking him the past couple days. Oh well. No blood was shed so I'm not going to worry about it.
Oh, and my numbers keep dropping. Yay! Hubby says I shouldn't weigh myself every day, but it really helps keep me focused. I get super hungry after the kids go to bed. I used to have a bowl of ice cream every night religiously as soon as the kids were sleeping, so it's hard to break that habit. But now, I know I'm going to weigh myself in the morning so I grab a bottle of water instead.
I promised my cousin I would put some tips in here on little things to start losing weight. I don't know if she'll check this, but here it goes.
Portion control!!!! I started by not going back for seconds and not finishing everything on my plate. If I was starting to get full, I'd stop eating. This was hard - when I was growing up, we had to finish everything on plates regardless. After a while, it got so I know how much to take.
Do exercise whenever you can - I find things to do even though I'm not technically working out. When I brush my teeth, I do leg lifts or squats or lunges. When I'm cooking supper I'll do push ups against the counter or swing kicks over the kids (they love that, I just have to be extra super careful I get the height!). Every minute of every day is an opportunity to exercise - even if it is just contracting your ab muscles while you type on the computer.
A liter by lunch! The more water you drink, the less your body will retain. Try to drink a liter by lunch and whenever you feel hungry, drink a glass of water. The body confuses the thirst and hunger signals - you might be eating when you should be drinking!
If you have a hard time dieting, adopt this approach. Diet 3 days a week, diet moderately 3 other days and, well, don't splurge, but you can eat whatever you want the last day within reason. Make sure these are all mixed up - this way your body won't go into feast or famine mode and keep you from plateauing.
Choose healthier options - instead of a burger and fries, go for grilled chicken and a side salad.
Cut out pop!!!! I did this a while ago - I figured anything that can degrease an engine probably isn't good for me to be consuming.
Invest in P90X. It's insane and while I'm only 3 weeks in, I'm already seeing results. I can do more of the workouts every time and I'm losing inches. Beachbody.com is great for keeping track of weight and inches.
I'll be back on later if I remember more! And dear trainer, you know all your words of wisdom are appreciated!

Into week 3
Things keep getting better and better! I am finding I can do more of the exercises than I could do before. My legs are looking AWESOME!!! And guess what? I am getting some definition in my arms. I was putting my hair back the other day and I noticed my arms have that cool bulge to them. It was great.
I have stayed at 155 for the past couple days. I don't know when the last time I was at 155 - I seem to get stuck at 156. Anyway, I did my measurements and I'm down 4.5 inches. Technically 5.5 inches, but my arms gained .5 an inch each.
My energy level is insane now. After a workout, I'm up and getting stuff done. I don't have a book to read right now, but I know that's not it.
Anyway, I am really looking forward to taking my 30 day pictures. I can't wait to see what has changed!
I best get going to bed!

Into Week 2
Today was shoulders and arms. I definately need bigger weights - in order to really get the burn going, I had to do at least 5-10 more reps than usual. But I'm uber proud of myself, it's only week 2 and I'm able to do more than I was last week.
I'm really seeing a difference. I know it probably isn't much, but I FEEL like I look better and I just plain FEEL BETTER ALL THE TIME! Already I have to make sure I wear a belt of some sort and I'm dying to get new clothes, but Hubby said I can go ring up the Kohl's card after I get down to my goal. Fine by me! I can't wait to be able to buy a size 8 (or dare I hope a 6?) and not be in the double digits. (In all honesty, I'm only a ten now)
I feel the need to really open up - I think I'm going to hop on my other blog to do so.

Friday, Friday, Friday
Today wasn't bad. I was running around all day so I didn't have time to get my Yoga X in. I put it in about 15 minutes ago, but it's an hour and a half long. Hubby missed his workout too - the plan is to do the Yoga tomorrow morning, and then legs and back tomorrow night. Here's hoping!
